Keeping an Eye on the Wildlife!
Thank You to the staff at City of Boulder Open Space and Mountain Parks
We brought you "live snapshots" of these Burrowing Owls and their Prairie Dog companions thanks to the staff of the City of Boulder Open Space and Mountain Parks. The owls left after 44 days of observation and so we've shut down this particular Observer IV.

Here's who we're watching:
The character facing us on the left is a Prairie Dog, "sharing" a home with the character on the right, a Burrowing Owl, his back to us. They are about 50 meters away from our telescopic Observer IV camera equipped with a 75mm video lens in front of its "1/4 inch" CMOS sensor. This picture was captured at 9:30AM on June 23rd, 2005. The picture below is our best Burrowing Owl portrait so far. It was taken at 7:45PM on June 22, 2005.
